Insurance, Billing & Payment — No Surprises.

I believe financial transparency is part of good care. Here's everything you need to know about insurance, billing, and payment at Hampton Physiotherapy before your first visit.

How Billing Works

Payment is collected at the time of service. I do this intentionally — it eliminates the risk of surprise bills weeks after your appointment and keeps the financial side of your care simple and predictable.

If you have insurance, I will submit claims on your behalf for all in-network plans. Your responsibility at the time of service will be your copay, coinsurance, or deductible amount as determined by your plan. If you are unsure what your physical therapy benefits are, I recommend calling the member services number on your insurance card before your first appointment.

Insurance Plans Accepted

Hampton Physiotherapy is in-network with the following insurance plans. If your plan includes exclusions, those are noted below.

  • In-network

Not sure if your plan is covered?

Insurance plans can be complex and coverage varies. If your plan isn't listed above or you have questions about your specific benefits, please reach out before your appointment and I'll do my best to help you figure it out. You can also call the member services number on the back of your insurance card and ask specifically about your physical therapy benefits.

Out-of-Network & Self-Pay

If your insurance plan is not listed above, you are still welcome at Hampton Physiotherapy. You have two options:

Self-Pay Rates

Initial Evaluation

$220

First appointment · ~60 minutes

Follow-Up Visit

$160

Subsequent appointments · ~60 minutes

Out-of-Network

If your insurance plan is not listed above, you are still welcome at Hampton Physiotherapy. For out-of-network plans, I offer two options:

I can bill your insurance directly

I am happy to submit claims directly to your out-of-network insurer on your behalf. Your reimbursement will depend on your plan's out-of-network physical therapy benefits. To find out what those are before your first appointment, call the member services number on your insurance card and ask: "Do I have out-of-network physical therapy benefits, and if so, what is my reimbursement rate after my deductible?"

I can provide a superbill

If you prefer to handle your own claim, I can provide a superbill after each appointment — a detailed receipt containing all the billing codes your insurer needs to process reimbursement. You will pay my self-pay rates at time of service. You submit it directly to your insurance company and they reimburse you according to your out-of-network benefits.

🎵 Financial Assistance for Musicians — MusicCares

If you are a music industry professional experiencing financial hardship, you may be eligible for assistance through MusicCares, a Grammy Foundation program that provides financial support for medical expenses — including physical therapy.

MusicCares has helped many of my musician patients access the care they need when cost would otherwise be a barrier. If you think you may qualify, I encourage you to explore their resources.
