Meet the Team
Hope is a physical therapist with ABPTS board-certification in orthopedics. Additionally, she is a certified manual physical therapist, and orthopedic residency graduate.
Hope has special interest in rehabilitation of the injured musician. Prior to becoming a PT, she obtained a music degree with emphasis in classical violin, but also independently studies piano, guitar, and voice.
Dr. Hope Hampton combines advanced expertise in manual therapy and up-to-date application of evidence-based medicine to reduce pain and help you achieve your functional goals. You are at the center of your care and your preferences are woven into your treatment plan.
She performs a detailed biomechanical assessment to find the root cause of your symptoms and helps build a unique exercise program aimed at solving these biomechanical contributors while also considering you as a whole person.
Dr. Hope Hampton is one of the only physical therapists in the Portland metro region to specialize in the physical rehabilitation of musicians. She has over 25 years of playing experience as a classical violinist and also plays guitar and piano. She has helped countless musicians of all ages and abilities in the Portland area return to playing at their full capacity, whether professionally or recreationally.
Dr. Hope Hampton is proud to be the only Portland physical therapy clinic to cater directly to musicians’ health and wellness. Check out Dr. Hope Hampton’s Musicians’ Physical Therapy Blog to learn more about injury management for musicians.
