Where Musicians & Active Bodies Find Expert Healing in Portland, Oregon
Board-certified orthopedic physical therapist specializing in musicians’ injuries, manual therapy, and biomechanical analysis—one-on-one care that finds the root cause of your pain.
Hi, I’m Dr. Hope Hampton
I became a physical therapist because I spent years as a musician and watched people like me get dismissed, misdiagnosed, or handed generic advice that didn't account for the demands of playing an instrument.
I wanted to build the kind of clinic I wished had existed — where every patient gets a full hour with me, where your treatment plan is built around your actual life, and where if you're a musician, your provider actually understands what it means to play through an injury.
Whether you're a musician with a repetitive strain, recovering from surgery, managing chronic pain, or just trying to get back to trail running — I'd love to help.
One-on-one care. Every time.
At Hampton Physiotherapy, your care is personal here — one full hour, one provider, every time.
I use detailed biomechanical assessment to find the root cause of your symptoms, not just treat what hurts. Your care plan is built around you as a whole person: your schedule, your goals, your life outside the clinic.
What I Treat
I work with musicians dealing with playing-related injuries, patients recovering from orthopedic surgery, and people managing musculoskeletal conditions of all kinds — nerve pain, chronic pain, balance and gait issues, spinal conditions, and the cases that other providers haven't been able to figure out.
If you're in pain, having trouble moving, or not getting answers elsewhere — there's a good chance I can help.
